How it all began…

One morning at the beginning of this year I was going about my normal day when I felt the Lord say “you need to open to the Philippines.” The Philippines hadn’t really ever been on my radar, so this felt a bit random to me. But I put it in my back pocket, I didn’t even tell Danny about it and went on with my everyday life.

A month or so later Danny had a dream. In the dream he felt the Lord say “If you only had a few more years, what would you be doing?”  He was instantly reminded of his time in the Philippines. In response Danny felt the Lord say “why aren’t you doing that then?” Disclaimer: He doesn’t actually think he has a few years to live but more so to show that it was important to not waste his time and to do what he feels called to do. When he told me about the dream I was instantly reminded of what I heard the Lord say a month ago about being open to the Philippines. We had never before discussed  it being a place we would move. When I told him I had felt the Lord speaking on the Philippines as well, it was confirming. We came to the conclusion that the Lord was moving our family to the Philippines.

We have spent this year preparing to leave the island we have called home for years now. We leave on December 1st. to spend Christmas with family and then we head out in January. Please be praying for our family as we start this transition. We have so much vision for what the Lord is calling us to in the Philippines and can not wait to share that with you.
